When two grown ups have the above expression after witnessing something their 2yr old taught them in 5mins you know, you’ve learnt a life lesson….a Big one!

Yuvraj kept sending his toy cars under the sofa which had very limited gap hence, making it impossible for certain cars to go through (well, atleast that’s the strong belief my hubby and I held) as they were taller. But he would try those cars too diligently to which we would respond each time saying, “son, that car won’t go through, why don’t you try the other one” He first looked at us and then ignored us and we would look at each other very clearly implying through our expressions that everyone wants to learn by doing, so let him too. Soon he’ll be disappointed and understand that he can’t always get things the way he desires. Little did we know that we were in for a AHA! Moment.

He simply turned the angle of the car and sent it through…and guess what, it did go through!

He ran and brought a bus, then an excavator, then an ambulance and we were awestruck sitting in absolute silence ensuring we watch and learn instead of teaching now.

None of them went through in the first 3 attempts, then he tried the angle he discovered earlier, that too didn’t work……did he give up?? Nope! He now tried every possible angle he could figure out with his tiny hands. OMG!!!!! Is what his parents yelled after every single one of them that went through.

That day all of us learnt something big. Our FIXED Mindset takes us only to limited places however, Our GROWTH Mindset takes us places where we’ve never been before!!

The ability to challenge ourselves and be more than willing to learn every single time, becomes the reason for reaching heights.
